One small, but VERY common question asked by Xcelsius 2008 users is:
“How can I change the background color of my chart mouse over boxes in my Xcelsius 2008 model?”
Solution? Use the 5 simple steps below:
1. On the Menu, Go to ‘Format’ -> ‘Color Scheme’
2. Select ‘Create New’
3. Click on ‘Advanced Settings’
4. Select Tab entitled ‘Charts’ -> Select the ‘Miscellaneous’ Tab -> Scroll down to ‘Mouse Over Area’
5. Change your ‘Background / Border Color’ for your Mouse Over. Give your new Color Scheme a ‘Name’ and Press ‘Save’.
There you have it! Design away….
NOTE: This will cause a global change which means that the background/border color change will apply to ALL the charts in your Xcelsius 2008 dashboard …so please be careful! There is currently no way to create separate formats for separate charts in a single .xlf.
